Head of EU Affairs at Apel-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency
Emily Rees is Head of EU Affairs of Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency, based in Brussels. Under the helm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Apex-Brasil serves to promote sectorial market access and attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the economy. In this role, she advises domestic trade associations and provides support to Brazilian negotiators in the EU-Mercosur trade discussions.
A Franco-British citizen, Ms Rees formerly served as Trade Attaché for the French Ministry of Finance in Brazil, having initiated her career in EU public affairs consulting. She is a regular guest lecturer in trade diplomacy, public policy and advocacy.
