As CEO of Blockbuster Colombia, he delivered a 3-fold increase in revenue by reversing a multi-million dollar operating loss to achieve $1M in earnings over 18 months and increased EBITDA to a peak of almost 30% over the next 6+ years. Additionally, he lead the sale of Blockbuster at the height of its success which garnered 300% ROI.
Saul executed the complete turnaround of Bogota, Colombia’s top telecom company Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota (ETB) as its President and CEO, overseeing ETB’s highest profits in more than 20 years, a 30% rise in stock prices, and a 30% increase in equity
During his time in Juan Valdez North America, Saul transformed a money-losing operation into a $8M expanding enterprise that delivered 130% growth over 18 months. Saul structured and negotiated 6 New York mall-based locations generating $5M with a store layout 40% the size of stand-alone locations
Saul was ranked as a Top 100 Business leader and Top Young Executive by leading economic publications in Portfolio and Revista Dinero due to Blockbuster Colombia being recognized as one of the best-performing Blockbuster operations in the world. Saul also served as an arbitrator in Camara de Comercio Colombia.
